A new industrial facility to benefit from IEEF’s subsidized Energy Management Assistance (EnMA) Service
June 11, 2020 – Cairo: Following the signature of the partnership agreement between RCREEE and Tiba El Manzlawy group under Industrial Energy Efficiency Fund (IEEF)project, RCREEE holds a kick off meeting on EnMA service implementation.
The meeting laid out the work plan for Energy Management Assistance (EnMA) Service activities which are subsided through the IEEF. The activities aims mainly to identify Tiba El Manzlawy group energy consumption, related costs, and how this consumption affects their profitability.
As the IEEF’s fund manager, RCREEE team will support introducing the EnMA service to the facility’s top management, form and train an EnMA team (within the facility) on EnMA service. Besides, the team will support the facility to run a self-assessment regarding its energy performance as the main activities of the preparatory phase.
In September 2018, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), and the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) signed a Cooperation Protocol for the operation of the Industrial Energy Efficiency Fund (IEEF) in Egypt. Accordingly, RCREEE acts as the Fund manager.
EnMA Service aims to identify and assess measures for industrial facilities to improve their energy performance and consequently enhance their competitiveness and reduce their environmental footprint.
The EnMA service is subsidized through the IEEF, which entails that your business will receive services from external consultants for free but will need to provide an in-kind contribution through internal human resources.
