Workshop: Possible Solutions and Pathways for Sustainable Development in Sudan

September 11, 2019- Khartoum-Sudan: During the course of its country mission to Sudan as part of the Wind Energy Project (WEP) funded by the UNDP and implemented by The Ministry of Water Resources Irrigation and Electricity (MWRIE), The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) in collaboration with the Impact Hub Khartoum are organizing a workshop to discuss the potential and future of Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) Technologies in Sudan.

This workshop will look at the possible pathways to incorporate RE and EE into the Energy/Electricity Generation, the Industry and the Food Energy Water Nexus sector. Participants include governmental institutions, Regional and national experts, UN organizations, NGOs, consultant firms, RE contractors, research bodies and representatives from the Industry sector.

The aim is to look at possible ways to catalyze the RE and EE market in the country and to facilitate networking among different stakeholders in preparation for the upcoming development phase of the country.
