In the start up phase, RCREEE is supported financially and technically by Egypt, Germany, the EU and Denmark. In addition, Egypt, Tunisia and Syria have seconded experts to the interim secretariat to support the set-up process.

Germany, through Gesellschaft fuer Technische Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GTZ), has made a long term expert available to assist with the set up of the Centre and the formulation of the initial work program.
