At the conference, RCREEE presented a comparative study of RE and EE regulations in MENA, the most in depth study of the subject to date. The results of the DANIDA-financed study entitled "Economic, Technological and Environmental Impact Assessment of National Regulations and Incentives for RE and EE" was presented by Dr. Nigel Lucas and Dr. Nikolaus Supersberger, the most comprehensive study on RE and EE policies and regulations in the MENA region to date. The Desertec Industrial Initiative was also presented and fruitful discussion took place among the guests. The conference was open to the interested public.
