| Succeeding the study “Economical, Technological and Environmental Impact Assessment of National Regulations and Incentives for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency” RCREEE has organized in cooperation with MVV-DECON a workshop on 19-20 December 2010, in Cairo titled: Evaluation of National policies in the field of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency In the plenary session the workshop presented an analytical review of the current RE&EE policies and regulations in RCREEE member states. |

| Under the framework of the League of Arab States (LAS)'s initiative to prepare the Arab Energy Efficiency Guideline and with the coordination between the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) and the European Commission Commission (EC) through MED-EMIP and MED-ENEC projects; according to the resolutions and recommendations of the RE & EE experts committee as well as Arab EE guideline work group; a regional workshop was held in Amman, Kingdom of Jordan, on December 5th and 6th, 2010 to present the Energy efficiency Action Plans in the electricity sector of LAS member States, and to benefit from their experiences in this field. |

| In line with the coordination between League of Arab State (LAS-Energy Department), European Commission (EC), sponsored projects MED-ENEC & MED-EMIP and The Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), a workshop was organized in Tunisia on July 26th and 27th. It was followed by the LAS "Arab EE Directive Working Group" meeting on July 28th and 29th. This two-day workshop was to initiate the process of preparing a three-year National Energy Efficiency Action Plans (NEEAPs) according to the drafted Arab EE directive. |

| The Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) in cooperation with the Tunisian National Agency for Energy Conservation (ANME) organized a training course on "Energy Audits in Buildings, and the Role of ESCOs" in Tunis, from 1 to 5 June, 2010. The objective of the training course was to present model of monitoring energy audit programs based on successful stories from ANME, Tunisia. |

Capacity Building in the Field of Wind Energy, Stage II 29 March - 2 April, 2010 |

| Following up the subject of the first stage of the training program which focused on wind farms design, RCREEE, in cooperation with Renewable Energy Development Center (CDER) in Morocco, held a second stage. This stage focused on the subject of wind farms operation and maintenance taking into consideration the regional and the international experience in this area. |

RCREEE Regional Renewable Energy Conference 4 February, 2010 |

| RCREEE Renewable Energy Conference was held in Amman, Jordan. At the conference, RCREEE presented a comparative study of RE and EE regulations in MENA, the most in depth study of the subject to date. The results of the DANIDA-financed study entitled "Economic, Technological and Environmental Impact Assessment of National Regulations and Incentives for RE and EE" was presented by Dr. Nigel Lucas and Dr. Nikolaus Supersberger, the most comprehensive study on RE and EE policies and regulations in the MENA region to date. The Desertec Industrial Initiative was also presented and fruitful discussion took place among the guests. The conference was open to the interested public. |
